About ABEA

ABEA (Anatoli Biomichaniki Etairia Anatolis) was founded in 1889 in Chania, Crete, and is the oldest olive oil processor in Greece. With more than 130 years of history, the company combines science, tradition, and a deep love for nature. It is not only a manufacturer but also an important part of Crete’s cultural and industrial heritage.

As a recipient of the prestigious EuChemS Historical Landmarks award, ABEA stands out for its ability to connect scientific knowledge with everyday life. Each of its products – from natural cosmetics to hypoallergenic detergents – is based on expertise, innovation, and deep respect for both people and nature.

Olive Oil Production

ABEA produces extra virgin olive oil and other olive-based products. The olives come from groves in the Kolymvari area, known for its exceptionally fertile soil and unique microclimate. The harvest is carried out exclusively by hand at the optimal stage of ripeness, ensuring maximum freshness and quality.

The philosophy of ABEA is the union of tradition and innovation. We combine our long-standing olive oil expertise with modern production technologies, ensuring that the oil retains its traditional characteristics while meeting modern quality and safety standards. Our facilities comply with the strict ISO 22000 certification.
