ADELΦOS is a premium olive oil brand from the Zakros region in eastern Crete, bearing the prestigious PDO Sitia Lasithiou Kritis designation. It is created with deep respect for the land and the traditions of the Olive Oil Politeia Zakros, a community of more than 500 local producers. Each drop of ADELΦOS embodies harmony, unity and joy – the values at the very heart of the brand.

The name ADELΦOS (from Greek αδελφός / adelphos – “brother”) symbolises the connection between all living beings – people, nature and the sea. This philosophy is also expressed through the elegant packaging design, inspired by Minoan palace frescoes depicting dolphins – symbols of joy, healing and friendship. The dolphins once accompanied ancient Minoan sailors on their voyages and still embody the spirit of harmony and balance between humans and nature.

The packaging design, awarded the Bronze Medal at the Packaging Awards 2023 in the category Marketing in a New International Market, combines modern elegance with the sacred symbolism of the Minoan and ancient worlds. The label features the brand’s name written in Linear B – the first script of European civilisation – and the Greek letter Φ (phi), representing harmony, friendship and the golden ratio. The colours and textures evoke the Mediterranean atmosphere – the sea, the sun and the light – the world from which both olive trees and humankind draw their strength.
